Ben Case: Faulk Selected for All Star Game, Nestrasil Clears Waivers & Lindolm off IR The Canes placed Nestrasil on waivers yesterday and he officially cleared and will be assigned to Charlotte now. Overall, he is a young and solid forward—I was a bit surprised that he cleared and that no one took a chance on him. I imagine that he will be back up with the Canes again this season, however, in the meantime he will definitely help an offensively struggling Checkers team.

I agree that Slavin would have been a better choice but it is still just the All Star game. Slavin is not a flashy player but he is definitely the kind of player you want on your team. Faulk has more flash to his game with that shot of his.

There will definitely be some cap questions for the Canes in the near future. They have tons of guys who are making major contributions who are on ELC. I think the biggest question with the attendance struggle, is how much is ownership willing to spend and if guys are going to accept bridge deals.
